"Love this book!

Reading this little book brought back precious memories of my much loved mini schnauzer who went over the rainbow bridge about 6 years ago at the age of 15yrs. It's a very easy to read book with ideas and suggestions on how to cope with loss, care for yourself and to love the happy memories of a much loved family member and best friend. It's good to know that we practiced many of Uschi's suggestions to celebrate our boys life.

Wish I had it to read back then. I would recommend to anyone needing kindness and comfort after losing their beloved pet."

"Great Book!

Who is it for?

I am thinking in particular of people with childhood trauma, who learned not to trust people, but were never disappointed by their pet. Or people with ASD, who can't understand other humans, but always know what their pet needs.

Or older people, where after the death of the spouse the dog or the cat might be the only reason to stay alive, and where the death of that pet leaves them without any purpose.

But also the rest of us, without any special need for a pet - our pets become a part of our life, and the more loved they are, the more we will grieve the loss.

I like how Uschi integrated all the important points of dealing with grief: Normalising, educating, teaching self care, how to support children, or a grieving friend."
