"Great Book!
Who is it for?
I am thinking in particular of people with childhood trauma, who learned not to trust people, but were never disappointed by their pet. Or people with ASD, who can't understand other humans, but always know what their pet needs.
Or older people, where after the death of the spouse the dog or the cat might be the only reason to stay alive, and where the death of that pet leaves them without any purpose.
But also the rest of us, without any special need for a pet - our pets become a part of our life, and the more loved they are, the more we will grieve the loss.
I like how Uschi integrated all the important points of dealing with grief: Normalising, educating, teaching self care, how to support children, or a grieving friend!" - Heike H.
